Position: Purchasing Lead
Location: Daventry

Salary: - 34,000

Purchasing Lead required for an automotive small/medium component manufacturer based in Daventry. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing purchasing (preferably automotive or aerospace) and strong negotiation and commercial skills.

Purchasing Lead Overview

• Lead supplier negotiations on price, terms, and long-term agreements
• Benchmark market pricing for raw materials (stainless, inconel, aluminium, fabrication consumables etc.)
• Raise and manage purchase orders in line with MRP requirements
• Issuing and monitoring supplier schedules
• Ensure timely supply of materials to meet production schedules
• Control purchasing spend in line with budget
• Negotiate improved payment terms where appropriate
• Work with Finance to support cash flow planning

Purchasing Lead Requirements

• Experience in manufacturing purchasing (preferably automotive or aerospace)
• Strong negotiation and commercial skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced SME environment
• Data-driven and systems literate (MRP/ERP experience essential)

Purchasing Lead Salary & Benefits

• Salary: 34,000
• Working hours - Monday - Friday 8-4
