I am hiring a Network Engineer on behalf of an international, family-owned engineering and materials technology group. The organisation has grown into a global partner for industrial clients, delivering customised products and production systems used across sectors such as automotive, aerospace, electronics, and healthcare. In this role you will be responsible for:
- Design, operate, and optimise Cisco-based LAN/WAN and SD-WAN networks across multiple locations
- Manage and support network security, firewalls, and connectivity services
- Administer and integrate VMware environments and Veeam backup solutions
- Troubleshoot complex network and infrastructure issues and ensure high availability
- Support IT projects, infrastructure improvements, and global rollout activities
This role is hybrid 2 to 3 days a week in Baden-Württemberg Germany.
Essential:
- Strong experience with Cisco networking technologies (routing, switching, SD-WAN)
- Hands on knowledge of VMware virtualization and Veeam backup solutions
- Solid understanding of network security and enterprise infrastructure
- Experience working in complex, multi site environments
- Structured problem solving skills and ability to work independently and in teams
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain issues clearly to technical teams and stakeholders in both German and English - minimum C1 level German

- Relevant Cisco certifications
