Job Title: Lead Cardiology Nurse (Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse)

Hours: Permanent / 30 hours per week

Salary: £30,000 to £38,000 pro rata

Role Overview

Dream Medical is working with a private hospital in Oxford to recruit an exceptional part time Lead Cardiology Nurse (30 hours) who can inspire others to deliver the highest standards of patient care. You will be based in a purpose built hospital with 64 beds, 8 theatres, an ICU and other state of the art facilities, working with some of the world's leading surgeons across orthopaedics, cardiothoracic and neurosurgery.

Key Accountabilities

• Assist in the management of delivery and provision of high quality patient care in cardiology outpatient services.
• Support interventional cardiology (cath lab) and radiology intervention.
• Handle cardiac pre assessment and post operative surveillance.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a clinical expert in cardiology nursing intervention, delivering evidence based care and maintaining procedural policies and competencies.
• Assist with work scheduling, planning, and rota management.
• Utilise specialist skills to support and train other departments/wards in cardiology services.
• Act as deputy to the head of department.
• Serve as infection prevention link nurse ensuring work is carried out efficiently according to agreed practice and protocol.
