Job Description
Due to continued growth a number of opportunities have arisen within the new Design, Construction and Maintenance (DCM) Team for experienced Project Managers to lead and manage project teams responsible for the successful delivery of allocated construction projects.
The newly established DCM team is responsible for designing and delivering a wide range of building related projects across the Council's school and corporate building estates. The team adopts a multi discipline approach to ensure that the Council's broad range of policy objectives are fully considered. In this regard, the Council's sustainability, energy, health and safety, waste, carbon reduction goals along with its social inclusion, community benefits, wellbeing and accessibility objectives are all considered and applied to deliver projects on time, within cost and to the required quality.
The primary purpose of the role is to lead and manage project teams as a successful and viable unit within the DCM group.
The successful candidate will lead on the project management of all stages of specified projects, endeavouring to ensure completion within time and budget, delivering a diverse range of building related projects to a consistently high standard in accordance with the customer's requirements.
The post-holders will lead internal multi-disciplinary teams to deliver the required outcomes, and also where required for capacity or technical reasons, lead on the external commissioning and monitoring of professional services to external organisations.
We are looking for experienced construction Project Managers (Degree qualified or equivalent) with a proven track record in the management of project teams responsible for delivering professional services in relation to building related projects across a variety of building types including schools.
The successful candidates will also have:
good knowledge of relevant guidelines, standards, and the like applicable to building construction and management;
sound knowledge of professional services and building contracts and procurement routes and their application;
Construction related degree (or equivalent);
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and strong personal organisational skills with an ability to manage a diverse and demanding workload where prioritise often evolve.

Bydd yr ymgeisydd llwyddiannus yn arwain y gwaith o reoli'r prosiect yn ystod pob cam o brosiectau penodedig, gan ymdrechu i sicrhau cwblhau o fewn amser a chyllideb, gan gyflwyno ystod amrywiol o brosiectau sy'n gysylltiedig ag adeiladau i safon gyson uchel yn unol â gofynion y cwsmer.
Bydd deiliaid y swydd yn arwain timau amlddisgyblaethol mewnol i gyflawni'r canlyniadau gofynnol, a hefyd lle bo angen am resymau capasiti neu dechnegol, arwain ar gomisiynu allanol a monitro gwasanaethau proffesiynol i sefydliadau allanol.
Rydym yn chwilio am Reolwyr Prosiectau adeiladu profiadol (yn gymwys i lefel gradd neu gymhwyster cyfatebol) gyda phrofiad da o reoli timau prosiectau sy'n gyfrifol am ddarparu gwasanaethau proffesiynol mewn perthynas â phrosiectau sy'n gysylltiedig ag adeiladau mewn amrywiaeth o adeiladau gan gynnwys ysgolion.
Bydd gan yr ymgeiswyr llwyddiannus y canlynol hefyd:

Sgiliau cyfathrebu rhagorol, ar lafar ac yn ysgrifenedig, a sgiliau trefnu personol cadarn gyda'r gallu i reoli llwyth gwaith amrywiol a heriol lle mae blaenoriaethu yn aml yn esblygu.
