Our client is a leading delivery partner within the data centre sector, operating at the forefront of large scale, mission critical developments across the UK and Europe. With a strong reputation for technical excellence, innovation, and reliable project delivery, they support hyperscale and colocation clients through the full lifecycle of complex data centre projects. Continued growth within their UK portfolio has created an opportunity for an experienced Design Manager to join the London team.

The Design Manager will take ownership of the design management process across high value data centre projects, acting as the central point of coordination between clients, consultants, and internal delivery teams. The role is focused on ensuring that design information is accurate, coordinated, and delivered in line with programme requirements to enable seamless construction and fit out activities.

You will play a key role in driving design solutions, managing risk, and resolving technical issues proactively, ensuring design quality, compliance, and efficient project delivery at all stages.

• Proven experience working for a main contractor or major subcontractor on complex building projects
• Background in mechanical, electrical, or construction led design environments
• Strong understanding of the full design and construction process
• Demonstrated ability to manage and coordinate multidisciplinary design teams
• Experience producing, managing, and reporting against design programmes
• Strong problem solving skills with a proactive approach to risk management
• Commercial awareness and an understanding of procurement influences on design
• High level of organisation with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Clear, confident communicator with a client focused mindset
• Strong awareness of health, safety, quality, and environmental standards
• Data centre project experience is advantageous but not essential

• Salary up to £75,000 + £7,200 car allowance per annum
