Senior Backend Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to be a leader in the design, building, and maintenance of our core systems.

Specifically, you will be responsible for:

• Building and maintaining high-volume, low-latency APIs for enterprise grade data processing systems
• Shipping excellent code, fast

Location: London, UK. Our office is located near London Bridge and we like to work in person.

Comp: Total compensation for this role starts at £150k

We ingest massive datasets containing critical enterprise knowledge from multiple sources and formats, and create structure where there was none previously. Our system leverages state-of-the-art LLMs to solve this problem with unprecedented accuracy, at previously unthinkable scales.

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain the backbone of our platform as it grows.

What you'll do:

• Architect, build, and maintain data ingestion and processing engines with the scale and reliability to manage mission critical operations for the largest companies in the world
• Build and maintain ultra-fast, high volume, well documented APIs to enable these systems
• Drive business growth through a combination of ideation and experimentation to optimize our product, and front-line problem solving for our customers
• Collaborate closely with technical and non-technical teammates to understand our customers' problems and build products that solve them

You might be the right fit if you have

• Solid experience with object oriented programming in cloud environments (e.g. AWS, GCP, or Azure), with .NET experience being a plus
• Experience with SOLID, domain driven design, and Clean Architecture principles
• A passion for good software craft, strong intuition for distinguishing good technical debt from bad, and sense for distinguishing good architectural choices from bad ones
• A demonstrated track record of delivering technical excellence to drive product and business impact
• A deep sense of care about your work and the people around you
