Ideal Requirements for the a Pharmaceutical National Account Manager

• Experience: 3-5+ years in UK NHS pharmaceutical account management, with strong knowledge of secondary care and ICS structures.
• Commercial Acumen: Experience managing budgets or P&L, balancing NHS pricing pressures with commercial sustainability.
• Strategic Mindset: Self-motivated and entrepreneurial, comfortable working independently in a national role.
• Communication & Negotiation: Confident relationship builder with excellent financial and influencing skills.

Role Responsibilities for the Pharmaceutical National Account Manager

• Secure NHS Access: Engage key stakeholders and lead formulary submissions to drive product uptake.
• Grow Strategic Accounts: Build partnerships with specialist paediatric centres and manage NHS tenders.
• Lead Targeted Marketing: Create UK-focused materials and deliver impactful KOL engagement.
• Drive Cross-Functional Success: Align with medical and supply teams to ensure compliance and continuity of supply.
