Purpose of the role: As a Senior Project Manager, you'll use your extensive project and change management skills to safely deliver complex and high risk changes across people, process and technology throughout our organisation. You'll be responsible for working on behalf of senior leaders in the organisation to take projects from proposal through to full delivery of outcomes and enabling the realisation of benefits. You'll play a pivotal role leading project team to deliver key strategic outcomes on time, within budget whilst maintaining a high level of quality and working within our risk appetite. What You'll Do: You'll lead project planning, scheduling, controlling and reporting activities for strategic, high impact, high risk projects. Working with sponsors, finance, the PMO and other key stakeholders to develop, gain approval and monitor compelling business cases for your projects, taking swift action where costs, benefits or risk exceeds agreed tolerances. You'll lead projects from end to end, ensuring they are clearly scoped, well governed and delivered on time, to budget and to quality. You'll bring together cross functional teams, proactively manage risks, issues and dependencies, and maintain strong oversight of costs and resources. You'll provide clear, accurate reporting on progress and performance, and use your experience to drive continuous improvement and support the development of junior members of the team.To be considered for this role, you'll need to show us that you've got the skills and capabilities. You'll have to meet the following minimum criteria: Minimum Criteria Demonstrable experience of delivering complex, high-risk projects across people, process and technology. Extensive experience of applying project management disciplines in a pragmatic and flexible way, including detailed project planning, risk and issue management and maintaining business cases. Proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional project teams. Demonstrable experience of effectively managing third party suppliers and delivery partners to ensure contractual performance, quality outcomes and value for money. Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders, secure decisions and clear present complex information in a clear and simple way. Experiencing managing multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities. A recognised project management qualification such as PRINCE2, MSP, Agile PM, APM or equivalent alongside practical experience of applying these frameworks.
