This is a fantastic opportunity for a Buyer / Purchasing / Procurement Professional to take ownership of sourcing and purchasing engineered parts and components within a commercial vehicle operation.

This is a newly created key buying / purchasing / procurement role within the business, ensuring the right parts are available at the right time, cost, and quality.

• Previous experience in a Buyer / Procurement / Purchasing role.
• A background in buying / purchasing / procuring components / parts in the engineering, automotive, commercial vehicle, plant equipment, or similar type of environments would be advantageous.
• Good negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Organised, analytical, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience using IT based inventory / or similar IT business systems.
• Confident communicator and team player.

• Source and procure components and engineered parts for commercial vehicles (e.g. axles, braking systems, suspension, lighting etc ).
• Build and manage relationships with UK and international suppliers.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery terms.
• Monitor stock levels and work closely with internal teams on demand planning.
• Ensure parts meet required quality and regulatory standards.
• Resolve supplier issues including delays, shortages, and quality concerns.
• Identify cost saving opportunities and improve procurement processes.
