About the roleThe role will work closely with an external development partner, expert in complex instrumentation design while maintaining internal alignment across engineering teams.
While it is mainly focused on the next generation of instrument, the role will also include system engineering work related to the current generation, especially where there is overlap in terms of performance budgets and modelling.
Key accountabilities and responsibilitiesKeeping the Multiprobe SPDS moving (requirements, open issues, change control), align system-function budgets and Product breakdown specifications with the system function architects using evidence-driven decision making, and translate programme goals into crisp milestones, risks, and test requirements.
You'll also be the technical "glue" between Infinitesima and our external design partner joining architecture/design discussions, ensuring knowledge transfer (including systems-engineer training), and turning reviews into clear actions for the wider engineering teams.
