Job Description

Lecturer in English (0.6 FTE)

An exciting opportunity has arisen, where Warrington & Vale Royal College is seeking to appoint a full time Lecturer in English.

The successful applicant will deliver high quality teaching, learning and assessment, ensuring successful learner outcomes and maximising potential for all.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach GCSE and Functional Skills English to re sit students aged and some adults as required.
  • Provide intervention support for learners, ensuring successful outcomes.
  • Develop and implement engaging learning experiences that motivate and raise students' aspirations.
  • Use strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm to inspire learners.
  • Contribute to an inclusive, friendly and supportive learning environment.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Degree/Level 5 subject specialism with recent relevant practical experience.
  • Previous teaching experience of GCSE English.
  • Ability to inspire, motivate and raise learners' aspirations through enthusiasm and strong subject knowledge.
  • While a degree or teaching qualification is not mandatory, opportunities to complete teacher training on the job are available.
