Audit Senior

Location: Manchester City Centre
Salary: up to £45k (DOE)
Position- Full time with hybrid working

Are you a newly qualified or qualified Audit Senior ready to take the next step in your audit career? Our client, a well-established and highly respected chartered accountancy firm in Manchester city centre, is looking for an ambitious Audit Senior to join their growing team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple sectors, taking ownership of audit delivery whilst developing your leadership and technical skills in a supportive environment.

As an Audit Senior, you'll play a pivotal role in the hands-on delivery of audit assignments and the supervision of audit teams. Initially reporting to an experienced Audit Manager, you'll have a clear progression pathway to working directly with the Audit Partner as you develop within the role.

You'll be responsible for:

• Leading and delivering audit engagements from planning through to completion
• Supervising and mentoring junior members of the audit team
• Reviewing work completed by team members to ensure quality and compliance
• Building strong relationships with clients and acting as a key point of contact
• Identifying opportunities to add value and improve audit processes
• Ensuring all audit work meets regulatory standards and firm quality requirements

Essential:

• ACA or ACCA qualified (newly qualified or qualified within the last 1-2 years)
• Strong technical audit knowledge and understanding of accounting standards
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Team player with a proactive, solutions-focused approach

Desirable:

• Previous experience supervising or managing an audit team
• Experience reviewing junior staff work and providing constructive feedback
• Exposure to a variety of clients across different sectors
