HSE Manager

(Hybrid) £60,000 - £70,000

This is a brilliant opportunity to join a fast-growing, London-based solar developer focused on behind-the-meter commercial rooftop projects. As HSE Manager, you'll take full ownership of Health, Safety, and Environmental practices across the business-both in the office and out on site.

You'll work closely with internal teams and external contractors to deliver safe, compliant, and high-performing solar installations. This is a key leadership position with direct visibility at board level, responsible for driving best practice and ensuring a culture of safety excellence throughout the business.

• Lead and oversee all HSE operations across the company, from corporate compliance to live site activities.
• Deliver and manage training programmesfor staff and contractors, ensuring everyone is equipped with the latest safety practices and qualifications.
• Conduct site audits, risk assessments, and implement mitigation strategies in collaboration with project teams.
• Develop and maintain company-wide HSE systems, documentation, and incident reporting procedures.
• Present HSE performance reportsand updates directly to the senior leadership team and board.
• Stay on top of evolving regulations and industry standards, ensuring continuous improvement in safety systems and culture.

• Proven HSE experience within the solar industry, ideally focused on commercial rooftop or behind-the-meter projects.
• Strong understanding of UK H&S regulations, CDM, and risk management in a construction or renewable energy setting.
• Confident communicator and trainer, able to engage and influence internal teams and subcontractors alike.
• NEBOSH or equivalent HSE qualification is essential.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environmentwith a hands-on, proactive approach.
