SEND Teaching Assistant - ASD & Learning Support (Primary)
Aspire People are looking for a compassionate and attentive SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder and associated learning needs within a primary school. This role focuses on supporting communication, structure, and engagement in learning.
The Role:
Supporting pupils with ASD within the classroom environment
Assisting with structured routines and visual learning strategies
Supporting small group work and occasional 1:1 interventions
Encouraging communication, interaction, and social development
Helping adapt learning materials to suit individual needs
Working alongside teachers and SENCOs to support individual education plans
The Ideal Candidate:
Experience supporting children with ASD or additional learning needs
Patient, understanding, and adaptable approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Knowledge of strategies to support communication and sensory needs (desirable)
