Job description Occupational Therapy Assistant - Adult Social Care (Reablement Service) A local authority in East London is seeking Occupational Therapy Assistants to join a
new re-enablement service launching in June. This role is ideal for candidates looking to support individuals in regaining independence and improving daily living skills within their own homes.
Main Duties:- Support Occupational Therapists with assessments and reablement interventions
- Assist in implementing care plans focused on independence and daily living skills
- Support with equipment provision and minor adaptations
- Carry out basic moving and handling support under guidance
- Work directly with service users in the community
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to case notes
- Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team
- Promote independence, wellbeing and strengths-based practice
Requirements:- Previous experience working in Adult Social Care or a similar setting
- Experience supporting individuals with daily living activities
- Understanding of reablement and person-centred care
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can assist)
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- Driving licence and access to a vehicle desirable
