Are you an enthusiastic EYFS TA (Early Years Foundation Stage Teaching Assistant) with a Level 3 qualification looking for flexible opportunities in Barnsley?
Academics are currently recruiting Level 3 EYFS TAs to support nurseries and primary schools across Barnsley on a temporary, ongoing supply basis.
Position: EYFS TA
Location: Barnsley, South Yorkshire
Contract: Temporary, flexible ongoing supply
Pay: 92.56- 95 per day (PAYE)
Start Date: ASAP or a start date that suits you
About the Role
As an EYFS TA in Barnsley, you will support pupils within Nursery and Reception settings, helping to deliver engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
This EYFS TA role in Barnsley offers flexibility and variety, allowing you to gain experience across different early years settings.
You will play a key role in supporting children's early communication, social development, and readiness for learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Support learning through play-based and structured activities
Provide 1:1 and small group support
Assist with classroom organisation and preparation
Promote positive behaviour and engagement
Support children's development and wellbeing
Follow safeguarding and school procedures
Candidate Requirements
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (essential)
Experience within early years settings
Good understanding of child development
Flexible and reliable approach
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
