St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, in partnership with Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, is seeking a full time Substantive Consultant ENT Surgeon with a specialist interest in otology and lateral skull base surgery. The post involves delivering complex tertiary care at St George's Hospital, contributing to general ENT services at Kingston Hospital, and working within a hub-and-spoke network serving South West London.
The successful candidate will join the Lateral Skull Base MDT, collaborating with neurosurgery, audiology, radiology, and oncology colleagues, performing advanced otology and skull base procedures, and supporting service development, audit, and teaching. Leadership, mentorship, and academic engagement are also key aspects of the role.

Main duties of the jobThe post holder will provide a comprehensive Otology and Lateral Skull Base service across St George's Hospital and Kingston Hospital. Key duties include delivering specialist inpatient, day case and outpatient care, and contributing to the multidisciplinary skull base service at St George's.
The appointee will support development of the otology and skull base service, including participation in audit, clinical governance, service planning, and maintenance of surgical and national databases.
At Kingston Hospital, the post holder will deliver otology clinics and middle ear surgery, work collaboratively with audiology services, and contribute to general ENT outpatient and day case activity.
The role also includes participation in emergency ENT care and on call duties, providing senior clinical support when required.
In addition, the post holder will provide leadership, teaching, and mentorship to junior medical staff and the wider multidisciplinary team, while actively contributing to training, appraisal, and continuous professional development.
