Responsibilities
- Routine and emergency appointments up to 16 patients per session
- Home visits to be shared equally after the first visit is allocated to on-call GP
- Lab reports to be actioned daily and shared between all doctors in the surgery that day
- Medicine management queries and medication reviews where possible
- Checking and sending referrals; written referrals go back to secretaries
- QAIF input during consultations as needed
- Signing of a fair share of prescriptions (may involve additional prescriptions during busy times/annual leave/sickness within the practice)
- You will be required to supervise medical students as part of a shared rota
- GP registrar hot reviews where needed (blocked time for this)
- You will be required to complete a small amount of practice medical reports, roughly 3 hours per month
