We are seeking an exceptional Lead Practitioner of Science to join our thriving academy and play a key role in shaping the future of Science teaching across our all-through setting. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and inspiring Science specialist who wants to lead by example in the classroom, drive innovation in pedagogy, and support colleagues to deliver outstanding teaching and learning. As a Lead Practitioner, you will model excellent practice, coach and mentor staff, and work collaboratively to raise achievement and engagement in Science from Year 7 to Year 11. You'll be at the heart of a dynamic team that is committed to curiosity, creativity, and challenge in every lesson.

Responsibilities
  • Model excellent practice in Science teaching and lead by example in the classroom.
  • Coach and mentor staff to support professional development and share best practice.
  • Work collaboratively to raise achievement and engagement in Science across the school from Year 7 to Year 11.
  • Contribute to shaping innovative pedagogy and improving teaching and learning outcomes.
What we are looking for
  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and has a proven track record of excellence in Science teaching.
  • Has the vision and expertise to raise standards across a department or phase.
  • Is passionate about professional learning, coaching, and sharing best practice.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Thrives on collaboration and wants to make a measurable difference across a whole school community.
  • Is committed to inclusion, high expectations, and ensuring every child receives a world-class education.
