SEN Learning Support Assistant Location: Tameside Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm Pay Rate: From £102 per day Contract: April 2026, Ongoing
We are looking for a dedicated and proactive SEN Learning Support Assistant to join one of our fantastic partner schools in Tameside.
About the Role: You'll be supporting pupils across both Primary and Secondary settings, working with students who have SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs), learning difficulties, and autism.
The role requires someone who can build strong relationships, stay calm under pressure, and adapt to different learning environments.
The Ideal CandidateConfident, strong, and able to use their own initiative
Passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs
Positive, patient, and resilient in challenging situations
Interested in education, psychology, or child development
RequirementsSports coaches, psychology graduates, or those with relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
Previous experience working as a SEN TA or supporting children with special educational needs.
A calm, nurturing, and proactive approach to supporting children's learning and development.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
Level 2/3 TA, SEN, or equivalent (desirable but not essential).
