About the RoleWe are seeking a warm, organised, and professional Part-Time Receptionist to support a friendly and busy setting in Cambridge. Working two full days per week, you will act as the first point of contact for visitors, parents, and staff, helping to create a welcoming and efficient front-of-house experience. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys people-focused work, thrives in a dynamic environment, and can balance a variety of administrative tasks with ease.
Key ResponsibilitiesReception & Front-of-House- Provide a professional and friendly welcome to all visitors, families, and contractors
- Manage incoming phone calls and email enquiries
- Maintain smooth communication and handovers between morning and afternoon cover
- Support day-to-day reception duties and general admin tasks
Safeguarding, Security & Attendance- Follow visitor sign-in and security procedures
- Support daily attendance and registration processes with accuracy
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold safeguarding practices at all times
Administrative Support- Assist with routine administrative tasks such as document preparation, photocopying, and general office duties
- Support the wider team with ad-hoc admin requirements
Teamwork & Collaboration- Work closely with colleagues to maintain a positive and supportive workplace
- Provide flexible support during busy times or staff absence
About YouEssential Skills- Friendly, approachable, and professional
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
- Confident communicator, both in person and over the phone
- Able to multitask and manage competing priorities
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and general IT systems
- Reliable, punctual, and discreet when handling information
Desirable Skills- Experience in a receptionist or administrative role
- Background in a school or childcare environment
- Understanding of safeguarding protocols
