Teaching Assistant - Secondary School - North East

We are currently recruiting for a range of Pastoral Support roles across secondary schools all Across the North East. These roles are perfect for individuals who are committed to making a real difference in students' wellbeing, behaviour, and overall school experience.Schools which are working with are located in Newcastle, Durham, Sunderland, Gateshead, Darlington, Middlesbrough and surrounding areas. The Role:

• Supporting students with behaviour, wellbeing, and emotional needs
• Working 1:1 or in small groups to provide targeted support
• Managing behaviour and promoting positive engagement in school
• Liaising with teaching staff, parents, and external agencies
• Supporting attendance, safeguarding, and inclusion strategies

• Experience working with young people (school, youth work, coaching, etc.)
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills
• A calm, patient, and resilient approach
• A genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date. Spencer Clarke Group work with a variety of schools covering a wide geographical area. We deal with teaching placements at Primary, Secondary, Special Education needs and college level as well as support staff positions also within these.
