We are working with a well-established secondary school in Haringey seeking an experienced and ambitious Head of Mathematics to lead their Maths department. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong practitioner with leadership experience to drive standards, support staff development, and ensure excellent outcomes for students across KS3 KS5.

Role Overview:

• Lead and manage the Mathematics department across KS3 KS5

• Develop and implement a clear departmental vision for high-quality teaching and learning

• Support and mentor teaching staff, promoting professional development

• Monitor student progress and attainment, implementing strategies to raise achievement

• Oversee curriculum planning, assessment, and departmental resources

• Contribute to the wider leadership and strategic direction of the school

About You:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification

• Proven experience teaching Maths at secondary level

• Previous middle leadership or departmental leadership experience

• Strong understanding of curriculum development and assessment strategies

• Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
