School Welfare Officer Secondary School Ealing Borough
A welcoming secondary school in Ealing borough is seeking a School Welfare Officer to support the health, wellbeing, and medical needs of students throughout the school day.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing first aid, managing student medical needs, and supporting the wider safeguarding and wellbeing provision within the school. This role is ideal for someone who is calm under pressure, organised, and passionate about supporting young people in an educational environment.
Hours: Approximately 8:00am - 4:00pm, Monday to Friday (term time).
Responsibilities
Provide first aid and medical support to students and staff
Maintain accurate medical records and incident reports
Support students with medical conditions and care plans
Liaise with parents, carers, and staff regarding student wellbeing
Ensure the medical room is well stocked and organised
Support safeguarding and welfare procedures across the school
Requirements
Valid First Aid Certificate (essential)
Experience working with children or young people (preferred)
Strong organisational and record-keeping skills
Calm, caring, and professional approach
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
