ArchitectLocation: TunbridgeSalary: £40-47,000

A design-led architectural practice is seeking a talented Architect to join its Tunbridge Wells studio. The successful candidate will be ARB and RIBA registered, with sufficient experience post Part 3 qualification. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of projects from concept through to completion, contributing to high-quality, design-driven schemes within a collaborative studio environment.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage projects across all RIBA stages from concept to completion
  • Develop strong design concepts and see them through to delivery
  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors and wider project teams
  • Prepare and oversee drawing packages, presentations and technical documentation
  • Ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations and relevant legislation
  • Manage project programmes and meet key deadlines
  • Support client communication, meetings and project negotiations

Requirements

  • Qualified Architect (RIBA Part III, ARB and RIBA registered)
  • Sufficient experience post-qualification
  • Strong proficiency in CAD software used in practice
  • Experience running projects from inception through to completion
  • Good understanding of contract types and project delivery methods
  • Previous experience within a UK architectural practice preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of UK Building Regulations, British Standards and statutory requirements
  • Strong conceptual and design skills, with good freehand drawing ability
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • High level of attention to detail and strong organisational ability
  • Proactive, solutions-focused mindset
  • Good understanding of sustainable and environmental design principles
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work to deadlines
