Machinist

United Careers are recruiting for a specialist furniture manufacturer based in Southend, Essex.

They are looking for a Sewing Machinist to join their busy team. Someone who is upbeat, positive and ready to work in a fast-paced team environment.

Sewing Machinist Skills required;

• Ability to use industrial sewing machine
• Familiar with twin needle, top stitch, and overlocking techniques
• Ability to use piping cord and Velcro where required
• Experience working with different types of fabrics including velvets, thick piles, plastic, and faux leather
• Ability to take a cut set of patterns and sew in full to complete a cover

Days: Mon-Fri

Hours: 08:00-17:00 (overtime available, breaks are paid)

Pay: £13ph OTE £35k pa (inc. overtime up to £40k pa)
