Service Manager

We are seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead and oversee the operation of the Service Department. The department delivers on-site services worldwide, as well as workshop-based activities at their Norwich facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and lead the service engineering team, including:
• Work allocation and scheduling
• Certification, security clearance, training, and visa requirements
• Generate and manage service enquiries, quotations, contracts, and invoicing
• Arrange and attend site meetings to support enquiries, active contracts, and business development
• Establish and maintain effective reporting and documentation systems
• Oversee all site tooling and instrumentation, including calibration requirements
• Establish and manage a dedicated service equipment area at the Norwich facility
• Coordinate with other departments to support new equipment projects and service activities
• Grow the service team, with support from the Directors, including recruitment of experienced electromechanical and commissioning engineers

Working Environment

• This position is based in an office environment with occasional travel to client sites as required.
• The role may involve working under pressure to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Proven experience in a service management, service engineer role or similar position.

- Strong leadership and team management skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Relevant qualifications in engineering are preferred
