The Music Department

The Music Department is a large, well-resourced and highly successful department, delivering an engaging and ambitious curriculum across Key Stage 3, GCSE and A Level. The Role

The successful candidate will:

  • Deliver high-quality music lessons across KS3-KS5

  • Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and a strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum

  • Inspire students through engaging teaching and creative musical experiences

  • Contribute to the department's extra-curricular programme and musical performances

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain the department's strong results and reputation

Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Has excellent subject knowledge in Music

  • Has a strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum and assessment frameworks

  • Demonstrates a passion for inspiring young musicians

  • Is committed to raising aspirations and achieving excellent outcomes for all students

  • Is enthusiastic about contributing to the wider life of the school
