Professional Development Lead MidwifeClosing date is 19 March 2026
The successful candidate will lead in the specialist services division as the professional development advisor for maternity services and across the organisation in agreed professional development activity which includes, mandatory and essential to role training and service activity, in line with Trust policies, procedures and national guidelines.
The successful candidate will plan and deliver education to the maternity multi-disciplinary team in collaboration with key stakeholders, whilst providing professional leadership advice and support, fostering a learning culture which values high quality patient care.
We have three wards across two sites, with a total of 88 beds for antenatal, postnatal and induction of labour.
At Royal Derby Hospital there are:
Queens Hospital Burton has seven delivery rooms including one pool room and one bereavement suite.
Samuel Johnson Community Hospital currently does not provide intrapartum care but runs as a community midwifery hub.
