About the Role:As an SLD Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping personalised learning journeys that are engaging, accessible, and tailored to each pupil's unique needs. Key Responsibilities:Plan, deliver, and evaluate highly personalised and differentiated learning programmesUse a range of teaching strategies, including sensory and communication-based approaches (e.g. PECS, Makaton, AAC where appropriate)Monitor, assess, and record student progress in line with EHCP outcomesCreate a structured, safe, and stimulating classroom environment that supports learning and wellbeingWork closely with support staff, therapists, and parents/carers to ensure consistent and effective supportSupport the development of students' independence, social skills, and emotional regulationMaintain accurate records and contribute to reviews, reports, and meetings
Requirements:Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essentialProven experience working with students with SLD and/or complex needsStrong understanding of differentiated teaching and inclusive practiceExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsPatient, resilient, and adaptable approach to teachingAbility to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary teamBased in Feltham or within a commutable distance
