Our client, a well-respected financial services membership body, is looking for a Strategic Project Manager to play a pivotal role in turning its corporate strategy into reality.
This is a high-visibility role working closely with senior leadership and the Board, ensuring the organisation s most important priorities are delivered effectively, on time and with real impact.
The role
You will sit at the centre of the organisation s strategy delivery, bringing structure, clarity and momentum to key initiatives.
You will:
- Track and report progress against strategy milestones, key deliverables and organisational KPIs to senior leadership and the Board
- Work closely with leaders of strategic workstreams to drive delivery, agree timelines and remove blockers
- Develop and maintain clear strategy delivery plans covering scope, timelines, resources, budgets and critical paths
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure alignment, prioritisation and effective communication
- Provide recommendations where priorities compete for time or resources
- Identify project risks early and implement practical mitigation plans
- Facilitate meetings, workshops and presentations that support collaboration and informed decision-making
What you ll bring:
- Proven project management experience in a small to medium size business
- Experience supporting strategy implementation and delivery
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders
- Proficiency using project management tools and software
Nice to have:
- Project management certification (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP or equivalent)
- Experience supporting change programmes or organisational transformation
- Background in a membership organisation, financial services or pensions
- Ability to work 2.5 days per week, ideally across 3-4 shorter working days
Package:
- Based in London (hybrid circa 1 day per week in the office)
- Salary: Circa £37,500 (2.5 days per week) equivalent to £75,000 FTE
- Plus: bonus + up to 20% pension + exceptional holiday allowance and benefits
