The Role - SENCO

A well-established mixed mainstream secondary school in the London Borough of Haringey is seeking a dedicated and proactive SENCO to join their leadership and pastoral team starting after Easter. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the school's SEND provision, ensuring that students with special educational needs receive the appropriate support to enable them to achieve their full potential.

The SENCO will oversee the identification and assessment of students with SEND, coordinate targeted interventions, and work closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to implement effective support strategies. You will also monitor student progress, maintain accurate SEND records, and ensure the school meets its statutory responsibilities in line with current SEND legislation and best practice.

The school welcomes applications from experienced teachers with a strong understanding of SEND provision. The National Award for SEN Coordination is desirable but not essential, and the school is supportive of professional development for the right candidate.

The position will be paid on the MPS/UPS Inner London scale plus TLR, depending on experience.
