Management Accountant

Management Accountant Location: Bury (Hybrid - 1-2 days WFH) Salary: 40,000 - 45,000 Hours: 9:00am - 5:15pm (flexible)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join a growing, private equity-backed professional services business in Bury.This role is ideal for someone ambitious and looking to progress their finance career within a growing organisation. The successful candidate will gain broad exposure and have a clear pathway to a Finance Manager role

Responsibilities include:

• Producing monthly management accounts
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Payroll journals
• Supporting month-end and year-end processes
• Preparing VAT returns
• Cash flow forecasting
• Cashbook reconciliations
• Managing payments and invoices
• Providing financial commentary and analysis

About You

Essential:

• ACCA or CIMA qualified (part-qualified or AAT Level 4 also considered)
• Experience producing management accounts
• Strong understanding of balance sheets and reconciliations
• Ability to provide financial analysis and commentary
• Strong Excel and systems skills (ERP systems such as Sage Intacct beneficial)

Desirable:

• Experience in industry (practice background also considered)
• Experience using ERP accounting systems
