If so, we'd love to hear from you The Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) is at the forefront of devising and implementing policy to transition the transport sector to net zero emissions by 2050. It is a joint unit working within two government departments the Department for Transport (DfT) and the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ). OZEV manages a range of nationally significant policies, including the phase out of all new non zero emission cars and vans in 2030 and the Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV) Mandate, the largest carbon emissions reduction measure in Government.
The change required is profound.
It will require transformation across the economy, from the way cars are manufactured and regulated to the electricity infrastructure under our streets and power generated across the country.
Government, industry, consumer groups and others are working together to achieve this transformation.
