Job Id: Job Title: Security Officer Location: Birmingham Duration: Permanent Type of site: Healthcare site Pay: £12.71 / hour Shift Patterns: 22:00 hours to 06:00 hours on 4on 4off basis.

Average of 32 hours per week.

An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for an experienced Security Officer.

  • to join our team covering the Reception and Security area of a prestigious healthcare company in Birmingham.

This position will be as part of a team of Security Officers working within a planned Roster.

This opportunity is a fixed permanent position and is suitable for officers looking for full time work, working approximately 32hrs per week on a 4 on / 4 off rota pattern.

We will require all interested applicants to be fully flexible in their approach and attitude.

Responsibilities
  • Security Manned Guarding, Portering and Reception duties
  • Access/Egress Control Duties
  • CCTV Monitoring Duties
  • Switchboard Operation
  • Performing regular Health and Safety checks
  • Regular and accurate report writing
  • Dealing with First Aid situations as/when they arise
  • Carrying out any other reasonable management requests
  • Proactive interaction with the customers, tenants, authorised visitors and public offering excellent customer service
  • Dealing with deliveries, enquiries and reporting any issues on site
  • Covering all required security related duties as/when required
Qualifications
  • Applicants must be aged 18 with a valid SIA License
  • Current SIA License; First Aid Certification; ACT Certification
  • Fire Marshall; CCTV Lic; Full Clean Driving License
  • Must have a 5-year checkable work or back to school history
  • Proof of right to work and live in the UK
  • Very smart with an excellent command of the English language
  • 'Public Facing' experience with good writing / reporting skills
  • Able to work as part of a Team and on own
  • Approachable
  • Diplomatic
  • Ability to think 'Outside the Box'
  • High expectation of customer service delivery
  • Flexible and willing to learn new procedures
