A supportive secondary school in Chelmsford, Essex is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide targeted support for students with additional learning needs across KS3 and KS4.
This role involves working closely with teaching staff and the SENCO to support pupils with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and learning difficulties, helping them access the curriculum and develop confidence within the classroom.
Provide 1:1 and small-group support for students with SEN
Support students during lessons to help them engage with learning
Assist with behaviour regulation and emotional support
Work closely with teachers to implement support strategies
Help monitor student progress and wellbeing
Experience supporting children or young people with SEN
Calm, patient, and able to build strong relationships with students
Confident supporting learning in a classroom environment
Background in education, youth work, care, or support roles is beneficial
