Electrical Fitter

We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Fitter to join a well-established manufacturing business. This role will involve assembling and wiring electrical control panels and components to a high standard, supporting the production of specialist equipment.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong hands-on electrical assembly experience who is confident working with wiring diagrams, hand tools, and electrical components within a manufacturing or workshop environment.

The Responsibilities

• Assembly and fitting of electrical control panels and associated components.
• Carrying out point-to-point wiring in accordance with electrical drawings and schematics.
• Installing electrical components including relays, terminals, switches and control devices.
• Performing soldering where required to support electrical assembly.
• Using a variety of hand tools and electrical tools to complete assembly work.
• Reading and interpreting electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Carrying out basic testing and inspection to ensure panels meet quality standards.
• Ensuring all work is completed in line with health & safety procedures and company standards.
• Supporting the wider production team to meet manufacturing deadlines.

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience working as an Electrical Fitter, Panel Wirer, or Electrical Assembly Technician.
• Experience assembling and wiring control panels or electrical equipment.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Experience using hand tools and electrical assembly tools.
• Basic soldering experience is advantageous.
• Background working in a manufacturing, production, or workshop environment.
• Good attention to detail and a strong focus on quality.
• Electrical qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent).
