South Yorkshire Area (S36)
£50,000 - £60,000

A well-established heavy industrial manufacturer is looking to recruit a Lead Electrical Engineer to join their engineering team. This is a key role within the business, offering the opportunity to lead electrical maintenance activities while supporting the reliability and improvement of critical plant equipment.


The Role

As the Lead Electrical Engineer, you will take ownership of electrical maintenance across the site, ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently. You will support both planned and reactive maintenance, assist with improvement projects, and provide electrical leadership within the engineering team.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support electrical maintenance activities across site

  • Carry out fault finding, repairs, and preventative maintenance on industrial equipment

  • Support the implementation and development of PPM schedules

  • Assist with continuous improvement and reliability projects

  • Provide technical support and guidance to the wider engineering team

  • Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety regulations


Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering - minimum requirement

  • Experience working within heavy industry or similar industrial environments

  • Strong electrical fault-finding and maintenance skills

  • Compex - Desirable
  • Experience working with industrial control systems and plant equipment

  • Ability to lead by example and support engineering teams


Additional Information
  • Ad-hoc call outs may be required

  • Occasional travel to other company sites (infrequent)
