Key responsibilities Lead and coordinate all engineering activities to support business objectives and operational performance Plan, manage and control the maintenance budget to deliver plant performance and cost targets Develop, train and manage the engineering team, including effective use of external contractors Ensure availability of spares and consumables to support production and minimise downtime Plan and implement preventative maintenance strategies to maximise plant uptime and reliability Set engineering standards, measure performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives Ensure full compliance with health, safety and statutory requirements across all engineering activity Plan and deliver maintenance of site utilities to ensure efficiency and reliability within budget Lead capital projects from feasibility through to installation and successful commissioning Work closely with senior leadership to plan, prioritise and deliver engineering projects Requirements Experience in an FMCG or food manufacturing environment Proven experience in an engineering management or senior engineering leadership role Strong understanding of maintenance strategy, reliability and plant performance Experience managing budgets and engineering teams NEBOSH General Certificate in Health and Safety or strong HSE awareness Ability to lead, influence and communicate effectively at all levels Strong organisational skills with a structured and disciplined approach You will be someone who can lead from the front, build strong relationships across the business and drive engineering performance in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
