Senior Architectural Technician

Location: New Forest

Salary: £42-47,000 (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the production and coordination of detailed technical drawings, specifications, and construction packages
  • Oversee project delivery from early design stages through to completion, maintaining technical accuracy and design integrity
  • Mentor and support junior team members in their professional and technical development
  • Collaborate closely with architects, consultants, and contractors to resolve design, technical, and on-site challenges
  • Ensure compliance with current Building Regulations, planning legislation, and environmental standards
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of BIM processes and technical best practices within the studio

Skills and Experience

  • Extensive experience within an architectural practice, ideally in a senior or lead technical role
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (BIM experience highly advantageous)
  • In-depth knowledge of UK Building Regulations, construction detailing, and building materials
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills
  • Collaborative mindset with the confidence to work independently and take ownership of technical delivery
