Job Description

Residential Conveyancing Fee Earner - Stoke on Trent Hybrid

A well-established and highly regarded regional law firm is looking to appoint an experienced Residential Conveyancing Fee Earner to join its thriving property department in their Stoke office.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a conveyancer who takes pride in delivering high-quality work and is looking for genuine long-term progression within a supportive and forward-thinking firm.

Based in Stoke-on-Trent with hybrid working available, this role offers the perfect balance of autonomy, quality caseload and team support - without unrealistic pressures.

The Role:

You will join a busy and well-structured residential property team, handling a varied caseload of sales and purchases from instruction through to post-completion. The work is high quality (and low volume!), well supported and client focused, with systems and processes in place to enable fee earners to work efficiently and confidently.

This firm places strong emphasis on doing things properly - thorough due diligence, clear client communication and robust compliance are at the heart of the department. It's an environment where standards matter, but so does wellbeing.

  • Drafting contract packs and transfers
  • Reviewing purchase files and raising enquiries
  • Reporting on searches and mortgage offers
  • Handling exchanges and completions
  • Managing SDLT submissions and post-completion formalities
  • Liaising with clients, lenders and estate agents throughout the process
Progression & Development

This is not just a fee-earning role - it's a career opportunity.

The firm is committed to internal progression and developing its people. You will be fully supported by senior colleagues and department leadership, with structured guidance and open access to training resources. There is unlimited access to an internal training academy, ongoing mentoring and clear scope to step into more senior responsibilities over time.

This is a full-time position with a modern, people-focused approach - combining the stability of an established practice with the flexibility professionals expect today.

You will be awarded a competitive salary in line with your previous experience and/or PQE and full company benefits including:
  • 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays
  • Pension scheme
  • Enhanced maternity policy
  • Death in service benefit
  • Healthcare support
  • Employee Assistance Programme

This role will suit a capable and organized residential conveyancer (solicitor, legal executive, licensed conveyancer or seasoned fee earner) who values structure, teamwork and quality service.

For a conveyancer seeking progression, quality work and hybrid flexibility - this is a standout opportunity.
