Our client, an esteemed South East law firm, is seeking a dedicated Residential Property Solicitor to join their dynamic Real Estate team in Brighton. This is an exciting opportunity to engage in a fast-paced environment, primarily focusing on residential conveyancing within the thriving retirement living sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the partner in managing residential conveyancing transactions, typically involving clients buying retirement properties while selling their current homes.
  • Handle your own caseload under supervision, ensuring efficient time management and communication throughout.
  • Contribute actively to the Real Estate group, supporting associates and partners on more complex matters.
  • Attend relevant training to keep your skills and knowledge current, while continuously developing your technical expertise.
  • Maintain high standards of client care, ensuring a positive experience that encourages repeat business and referrals.
  • Participate in marketing and business development activities, such as writing for newsletters and attending seminars.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience in residential property law, with a solid understanding of property legislation, including landlord and tenant law.
  • Strong time management skills to meet client and internal deadlines.
  • Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, particularly over the phone, given the client demographic.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to support colleagues as needed.
  • Proficient in IT, including Outlook, Word, Excel, digital dictation, and time-recording systems.
  • Attention to detail in drafting legal documents and managing case files.
  • Knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering and FSMA Policies and Procedures, ensuring compliance at all times.
