Job Description

Kinetic PLC are delighted to be assisting with the recruitment of a Procurement & Sourcing Specialist to support the client site in Nailsea. This is a full-time, 7-month initial contract covering a maternity leave, with potential for extension. The role is hybrid, requiring 1 day per week remote.

This role is ideal for someone with sourcing, procurement, and supplier management experience. You will manage supplier performance, negotiate contracts, optimise procurement processes, and work across teams to deliver results in a regulated and technical environment.

Working Hours
Monday - Friday: 8:00am - 4:00pm (flexible start time)
Hybrid role: 1 day remote per week

Assignment & Pay
7-month initial contract (maternity cover)
23- 26 per hour, depending on experience
Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
Potential extension

Key Responsibilities
Negotiate pricing, lead times, and delivery terms with suppliers
Raise, manage, and track purchase orders for assigned commodities
Maintain strong supplier relationships and ensure purchase order execution
Manage delivery issues, changes, and escalations to meet deadlines
Update ERP systems (e.g., Oracle) to support accurate planning and forecasting
Support cost reduction and lead-time improvement initiatives
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and senior team members
Participate in supplier performance reviews
Support or lead small procurement-related projects
Manage end-to-end procurement activities in line with sourcing policies, specifications, and budgets

Skills & Experience Required
Minimum 2+ years' experience in Oil & Gas, Nuclear, or engineering-based environments
Strong supplier management and negotiation skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Process-driven and well-organised

Desirable Qualifications & Knowledge
Engineering or technical background (electrical knowledge preferred)
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle)
Product knowledge within Oil & Gas or related sectors
Familiarity with electrical connectors, harnesses, or similar components
Certifications or technical knowledge/background in electrical fields or engineering (added advantage)
