A well-established specialist school in Trafford is seeking an experienced School Business Manager to join its senior leadership team. Following the long-term absence of the previous post-holder, the school is looking for a confident and capable professional to restore financial stability and enhance operational efficiency.

The Role

As School Business Manager, you will take strategic oversight of financial planning, budget management, and day-to-day operations. Working closely with the Headteacher and Governing Body, you will lead on deficit management, financial forecasting, and implementing sustainable recovery plans.

You will oversee budget monitoring, cost-saving initiatives, and compliance procedures, while also managing key operational areas including HR administration, procurement, and premises. The successful candidate will be comfortable reviewing systems, identifying improvements, and implementing robust financial controls.

Experience within a specialist or SEND setting would be advantageous but is not essential.
