Social worker - ChildrensLocation - Telford & Wrekin Council, Children's Safeguarding & Family Support TeamHours - 37 hours per weekContract - 6-month contract, Hybrid mix of home and officeSalary - £28.55 per hour (Umbrella)Service Care Solutions is working on behalf of Telford & Wrekin council and an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Children's Social Worker to join the Children's Safeguarding & Family Support Team.This is a 6-month agency contract offering competitive pay and the chance to make a meaningful impact supporting children and families across Telford.The Role As part of the Safeguarding & Family Support Team, you will:

• Manage a caseload of children subject to Child in Need, Child Protection and care proceedings
• Undertake assessments, planning and direct work with children and families
• Complete Section 17 and Section 47 enquiries
• Prepare reports for court and attend hearings where required
• Work in partnership with multi-agency professionals to safeguard and promote positive outcomes for children
• Ensure all practice is compliant with statutory guidance and safeguarding procedures

Requirements

• Qualified Social Worker (BA/MA Social Work, DipSW or equivalent)
• Registered with Social Work England
• Proven experience within Children's Safeguarding / Child Protection - minimum 3 years perm in a local authority
• Strong assessment, report writing and court work experience
• Ability to manage a varied caseload effectively
