Job Description
Our client is a growing commercial kitchen specialist working with multi-site groups, facilities management companies, and commercial operators across the UK. From reactive maintenance and PPMs to full commercial kitchen installs, they do it all, and they're now looking for an experienced COMCAT-qualified engineer to strengthen their London/South East team.
If you enjoy hands-on service work, problem-solving in live environments, and the variety of supporting national installation projects, this could be the role for you.
You'll work across a mix of:
- Reactive maintenance & fault-finding on commercial catering equipment
- Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPMs) across contracted sites
- Supporting commercial kitchen installs and refurb projects
- Snagging, remedials, and commissioning support
Most work is based in London and the South East, with occasional national travel for installation projects. Overnight stays are paid, with accommodation and expenses covered.
The ideal applicant will possess the following skills and experience;
Essential:
- COMCAT qualified (COMCAT 1, 3 & 5 preferred - or 1 & 3 with 5 in progress)
- Strong experience in commercial catering reactive maintenance
- Comfortable working in live environments (nurseries, care homes, FM sites)
- Willing to support national install projects when required
- Full UK driving licence
- Enhanced DBS (or happy to undertake one)
Desirable:
- Gas Safe (Catering)
- Electrical fault-finding experience
- Experience in nursery, care, or FM-managed environments
