Location: Salford
Salary: 90 - 100 daily rate, based on experience
Contract: Full-Time Long-Term

The Role

As a SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and the wider support team to ensure pupils are fully supported throughout the school day. You will provide 1:1 and small-group support, helping children to engage with learning, develop communication skills and build positive routines.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting pupils with ASC and autism within the classroom
  • Assisting with structured learning activities tailored to individual EHCP targets
  • Promoting emotional regulation, social interaction and independence
  • Implementing behaviour strategies and sensory supports
  • Encouraging engagement through clear communication and consistent routines
  • Working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team

The role requires someone who is confident taking initiative, while also contributing positively to a collaborative and supportive staff environment.
