Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Technician to join a well-established engineering organisation. This is a hands-on role supporting the testing, repair, and commissioning of a broad range of electrical products, both in-house and on customer sites. Working closely with the engineering and operations teams, you will play a key role in ensuring products meet required quality, safety, and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with fault finding, diagnostics, and repair of electrical equipment
  • Support on-site testing and commissioning activities when required
  • Carry out in-house testing of power distribution, marshalling enclosures, and control panels
  • Test and inspect LV cabinets and associated control devices
  • Support protection modifications and electrical upgrades
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with current electrical regulations and Health & Safety standards
  • Accurately complete test documentation and reports

Knowledge & Experience

  • Minimum of 3 5 years experience within an electrical engineering environment
  • Experience supporting testing and commissioning activities, ideally including transformers
  • Relevant electrical qualifications
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematic drawings
  • Sound understanding of electrical regulations and safe working practices
  • Strong attention to detail with a methodical and organised approach
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexible and team-oriented, with the ability to support other departments when required
