Our client, is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join their team based in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established civil engineering contractor delivering infrastructure and groundwork projects across the North West.
The Role The Site Manager will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating labour, plant, materials, and subcontractors while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities - Manage daily site activities and ensure programme delivery
- Supervise site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to senior management
- Coordinate materials, plant, and labour requirements
- Maintain accurate site records and documentation
Candidate Requirements - Proven experience as a Site Manager within civil engineering or groundworks
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Good understanding of construction programmes and cost control
- SMSTS, CSCS (Manager level), and First Aid qualifications
- Ability to build strong working relationships on site
