Our client, a well-established children s residential care provider, is seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead their 2-bed Complex Care home, currently rated Outstanding by Ofsted. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of a 2-bed children s home
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and National Minimum Standards
  • Maintain a minimum Ofsted rating of Good
  • Develop and oversee personalised care plans tailored to each young person
  • Recruit, develop and retain a stable, high-performing team
  • Promote young people s participation and consultation in their care
  • Allocate and support Key Workers to implement care plans effectively
  • Manage safeguarding, complaints and child protection matters
  • Work in partnership with families, carers and external professionals
  • Attend and contribute to care planning and review meetings
  • Manage budgets effectively and ensure strong commercial performance

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years experience in residential childcare
  • At least 1 year in a supervisory role within the last 5 years
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent), or willingness to enrol within 6 months
  • Strong knowledge of The Quality Standards, SCCIF and relevant childcare legislation
  • Experience supporting children with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties
  • Strong leadership, organisational and budget management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence
